Multi-Cam MAX Overview
Multi-Cam MAX consists of the Onform Camera Connector app running on a Windows PC which relays video from up to 4 fixed cameras to an iPad wirelessly. The standard configuration is for the fixed cameras to be connected to a PC using ethernet or usb, depending on the camera model. Unlike traditional studio systems, the PC has no video review interface. Instead, the iPad is used to view the video from the cameras, as well as control the camera settings like shutterspeed, recording rate (frames per second), orientation etc. This gives the user near total control of the camera setup and capture without having to interact with the PC, all through the Onform app.
PC requirements
For installations with IDS and FLIR cameras, minimum specs include a Windows 11 PC with Nvidia RTX 3060 or better and Intel i7, or Ryzen 7 cpu, 16Gb ram and 1Tb SSD is recommended. For better performance, an Nvidia RTX 4070 gpu is recommended.
For Optitrack Primecolor camera installations, a Windows 11 PC with Intel i9, ryzen 9 and Nividia RTX 4070, 16Gb ram and 1Tb SSD or better is recommended. A network card that supports 2.5Gb is also recommended, however, an ethernet to USB 3.0 converter can also be used. A 2.5Gb switch is also recommended.

Camera Specifications
Choosing cameras depends on your budget and preferred configuration. Optitrack cameras provide the best quality, but at a higher price, and require an ethernet switch, but allow for much longer cable runs which enables more flexible installations and cameras further away from the PC. FLIR and IDS have lower cost highly reliable cameras and don't require networking equipment. Most newer computers have at least 2 USB ports which can directly connect with the cameras. For installations with 3 or 4 cameras be sure to check your PC and it might be necessary to also purchase a USB hub.
